The weight of the bronze bell, 25.108 tons, holds significance, as it refers to the 25^th anniversary on October 8^th. The purpose of the bell and engraving on it is to remind new generations, in particular, of the tradition to be prepared for further achievement.
Background: The tower was built in 2000 to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the corporation. It tops the building at the south entry of the administration offices. There are four electronically controlled clocks installed on the four sides of the tower, synchronized with Beijing Time. The 25.108 ton bronze bell hangs under the clocks.
